Restricted items
Things we can carry, but only on certain routes, under certain conditions, or for an extra charge.
Restricted means we may be able to carry it, subject to the conditions below. Anything on the list of items we cannot carry is refused outright. If an item is breakable rather than restricted, see fragile items.
How restricted items work
Tick Needs special handling when you measure the item, and tell us what it is. We will confirm whether it can travel, on which route, and what it costs. A surcharge applies, and some items need a dangerous goods notice from the supplier, which carries its own charge.
The route matters. Some goods that cannot come from the UK can move between the islands, and the other way round. Always ask before you buy or book.
Sending something restricted without telling us puts it, and everything travelling with it, at your risk, and we may refuse or dispose of it at your cost.
